Huzzah a windy Wednesday afternoon albeit with inconvienient tide times for Shoreham/Hove. Checked out Hove first where Pat, Jon, Guy and Tim were out enjoying what looked like some decent mid-tide waves. Rigged 5.2 on the shiny new waveboard :), easy launch and bang! Was manic out there, seriously windy and some meaty swells, much more full-on than expected given the forecast. Stuck it out for an hour until I called it quits as it wasn't much fun, just survival sailing. And took a proper pounding in the shorebreak... (but not a scratch on the board phew!)

The wind was really kicking in hard now so I decided that the trip to Worthing had to be made. Glad I did! 4.5 full power until dusk with plenty of well spaced small waves for muchos jumping and gybing fun. The looping crew were out again making me feel very crap...really made me think about going for some forwards and on many of my runs out my back hand was in place down the boom...but I bottled it again... :(
